Hands Off Veterans

  • Texas State Capitol 1100 Congress Avenue Austin, TX, 78701 United States (map)

Join us for a Hands Off Veterans March, in solidarity with veterans protests happening around the country. Our entire speaker line-up and our MC will be veterans of the United States armed forces. Bring your powerful voice and defend our country against all enemies - foreign and domestic.

Optional: Bring your flags, wear your uniform, and prepare to re-take your oath to the constitution. (The oath is optional, and available for anyone regardless of military service.)

WHEN: Friday, June 6 from 5 - 8 PM

WHERE: TX Capitol Front Steps

BRING: Everyone is welcome! Bring your veteran family and friends, plus your creative protest signs (No sticks longer than 12 inches are allowed by Capitol DPS including flag poles.)

MOBILITY: We will be marching around the TX Capitol, not outside of Capitol grounds. If you have mobility concerns, you are welcome to stand firm at the front steps of the TX Capitol. Capitol bathrooms are ADA accessible.

DEETS: Bathrooms are available inside the Capitol. You will have to pass through a DPS security checkpoint to access bathrooms. Emergency water will be available on-site but please bring your own.

TRANSPORTATION & PARKING: CAPMETRO bus lines 1, 10, 103, 20, and 3 drop off near the Capitol, plan your trip. Please park at the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage (free for the first 2 hours), or park on the street in the neighborhoods west of the TX Capitol using the Park ATX app with discount codes: FREE15ATX1, FREE15ATX2

KEEP IN MIND: Soliciting donations and selling products is not allowed on Capitol grounds. We respect the DPS rules so that we can continue to have impactful mass mobilization efforts on OUR Capitol grounds!

SAFETY: We have a team of volunteers, legal observers, and street medics coming to this event. If you would like to volunteer for any of these teams, please use this form to contact us!
