VOCAL TX Town Hall: How Big Tech Billionaires are Shaping Austin

  • Texas Wesley (2 minute walk from the Cicero Institute) 2200 Nueces Street Austin, Texas, 78705 United States (map)

Join us and VOCAL-TX for a town hall exposing Austin’s Billionaire Backers of Hate. Pizza provided!

People are living on our streets, our schools are closing, and our neighbors are being surveilled, detained and deported. All the while, Austin residents Elon Musk (net worth: $864.2 billion), Joe Lonsdale ($3.4 billion), Travis Kalanick ($3.6 billion), David Sacks (up to $2 billion), Joe Liemandt ($7.6 billion), Joe Gebbia ($6.1 billion), and Luke Nosek ($5.5 billion) are profiting.

Enough is enough.

On September 16th from 6:00-8:00PM at Texas Wesley (2200 Nueces St.), join us to discuss how we can defend our community from the big tech billionaires that are harming us.

At the town hall we'll hear from our partners at Little Sis on new research published about Austin’s billionaires and their influence on our community. We’ll also hear directly from residents impacted by billionaire-backed policies, and have a discussion with elected officials and organizers about what we can do locally.

We'll have pizza and refreshments for attendees. See you sooon!
